Happy Birthday to Me!

These little ones are too cute!  When they found out that today was my birthday, of course they wanted to know how old I was going to be. My response (as always) 25. So now if anyone ask them how old I am they say - 25. Love it!!!  They also wanted to know if I was going to have a Frozen themed birthday party LOL.  Thank you for all your birthday wishes and gifts. A special thank you for the yummy birthday cake we all enjoyed. Pictures coming soon!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks so much- we have the best parents!

I am so thankful for the most awesome parents!  You have given our class so much and I am thankful. I would like to thank you for everything. You are all so thoughtful. And to the Love Family- thanks so much for your gift of the trampoline/jumper. I am so very sorry that we were not allowed to keep it due to insurance reasons. However, God and myself saw your heart and trust me your good deed will not go unnoticed. I pray that you will be blessed beyond measure for your loving thoughts for our little class. Our class thanks you.

Funny things kids say!

Steven said- "Mrs. Tammy- guess what Taylor said to me?" Me: "What Steven?"  Steven: "She said I was pretty! I can hardly stand it!"   and he starts laughing.  They say the cutest things!

Grandparent's Day

Thanks for such an awesome turn out. I hope all of you enjoyed the cute crafts the children made each of you. Thanks for all you do!

A weekend full of Beauty

Sometimes in the midst of our everyday living, we sometimes forget to just live. And we forget to see the beauty in our everyday living. I took the time this weekend, just to try to relax and find something everyday that I considered beautiful. Some of you may not see it. What I consider beauty may not be to you but that is ok. God made each and everyone of us different and in that - I find beauty.

I loved it that our son chose to attend a Youth Weekend Retreat instead of attending a Football game. Don't get me wrong, there isn't anything wrong with football but the fact that an almost 16 year old boy would rather learn more about God and fellowship with other youth in a Christian atmosphere made this momma really proud!

I found this really old set of rubber stamps at a Flea Market in Alexandria this weekend.  I had been looking for a set of these. The teacher in me was super excited to find this old set!
I was so excited to find this old canning jar holder at another Flea Market. I have been seeing these in a lot of my decorating magazines lately.
This little burlap owl brings a smile to my face every time I look out my kitchen window!

LOL  Every time I drive up and see the look on this spider, I smile.
Loving these glittered pumpkins
This is what I ended up doing with that old canning jar holder. Add Mason Jars and art supplies and we have------My new craft caddy! Don't look to closely- This picture was taken  BEFORE I dusted the tops of these mason jars!

how to make applesauce

8/10 apples   (peeled and cut into chunks)
1/2 cup of white sugar
1/2 cup of brown sugar
1 or 2 tablespoons of cinnamon
1 /2 tablespoon of nutmeg
1/2 cup of water
1 stick of butter

add all to a crockpot- cook on medium heat for 10 hours or high heat for 7/8 hours

you can use a potato masher to get an applesauce consistency or you can leave it chunky.

Good plain , on top of pancakes, as a side dish, or on top of ice cream. Yum Yum!!!!!!!!!!

All about ME bags

The children had the best time sharing special items from their bags with their classmates.
