BEAUTIFUL POEM

When I say ......"I am a Christian"
I'm not shouting "I'm clean livin'."
I'm whispering "I was lost,
Now I'm found and forgiven."

When I say....."I am a Christian"
I don't speak of this with pride.
I'm confessing that I stumble
and need Christ to be my guide.

When I say....."I am a Christian"
I'm not trying to be strong.
I'm professing that I'm weak
And need His strength to carry on.

When I say...."I am a Christian"
I'm not bragging of success.
I'm admitting I have failed
And need God to clean my mess.

When I say......"I am a Christian"
I'm not claiming to be perfect,
My flaws are far to visible
But, God believes I am worth it.

When I say ...."I am a Christian"
I still feel the sting of pain.
I have my share of heartaches
So I call upon His name.

When I say......"I am a Christian"
I'm not holier than thou,
I'm just a simple sinner
Who received God's good grace, somehow!

A visit from one of Santa's elves!

A VISIT FROM MRS. PENNY!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY NOAH!

GETTING READY FOR A GOOD MEAL!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO MY BABY!

On the 17th, my son turned thirteen. It was so hard for me in many ways. I guess because he is our only child and knowing that in a few years he will be grown and gone from our home. He is such a good boy and has brought so much happiness to our lives. I am so very proud of him- not only for his really good grades but for his kind heart. Yes, he is loud. But, he is a boy. Sometimes when his loudness really gets to me, I remember how he almost was not a part of our lives. You see, we could not have a baby for over 7 years. When we were finally blessed with a pregnancy, the doctor told us that a test had come back that he would be born with a birth defect and that he most likely would not live long. At the time we were not going to church anywhere. We were not doing bad things, we just did not have time to fit God into our lives. Funny how he will get your attention. I remember the night before a special test that was to be preformed at a high risk clinic. This test was going to let us know the severity of his birth defect. Gerald had left for work and I was at our apartment alone. I was beside my self with grief. I could not fathom why God would even give us a baby and then take it as soon as it was born. I remember wiping the dust off of my Bible that I had not opened in years. I asked God to please give me a scripture that would help me. I closed my eyes and opened the Bible and the first scripture that I laid eyes on was the following scripture Matthew 21:22- "AND ALL THINGS, WHATSOEVER YE SHALL ASK IN PRAYER, BELIEVING,  YE SHALL RECEIVE."
I asked God for a healthy baby.  When we went to the High risk clinic the next day,  Dr. Lewis said for us not to talk to him while he conducted the series of tests. Those were the longest moments for me. I remember not looking at the ultrasound screen during one test because I did not want to get more attached to the baby than I already was.  After all the tests, Dr. Lewis shook his head in disbelief. He told us that he was not sure what was going on but he couldn't find anything wrong with our baby! God is so good! Tracer was born 3 weeks early but in perfect health. He has asthma and he can sometimes be really loud but other than that he is healthy! He is our miracle baby. So, if you are facing an obstacle in your life that seems hopeless- remember the scripture above and pray. God will do the rest!

A FEW OF OUR WILD ONES & FUNNY THINGS CHILDREN SAY!

Had to share this!  We are learning all about the letter S this week and learning about the 4 Seasons(spring, summer, fall, &winter) in Language Development. During our Morning Meeting, I asked the children -"Can any  of you tell me the 4 Seasons that God made?" Mikey looked at me and said "I know them Mrs. Tammy - deer, duck, squirrel, and rabbit." I love my little country children!

Lots to be thankful for!

Oh how I enjoyed my week off from school. Want to know how I spent it? Well the first 2 days were spent getting caught up on household chores, next 2 days were spent buying items for the CLASSROOM! Ha- I know but I can't help it - I missed the little ones! We then went to Arkansas on a camping/hunting trip. Thanks to some good friends Keith & Beth, I did not have to sleep in a tent! They let us use their camper trailer and I am so very grateful! I do not like bugs and etc. that could be crawling on the ground! It was so beautiful in Arkansas and I really enjoyed the time we were able to spend together. I grilled, picked wildflowers for our table in the woods, (I do like to decorate!), made smores, and  cooked sweet potatoes in the hot coals of our campfire. I also gathered firewood for our campfire while the boys were out hunting! We had the very best time and we were able to reflect on all the beauty that God has surrounded us with. No cell service, no electricity, no real modern conveniences, no Black Friday sales and I lived!!!!! Hope all of you had a wonderful Thanksgiving!

Our new 3 year olds!

WoW-What a week!

I  apologize to all of you for not posting more frequently. It has been a wild couple of weeks. Today, we were on a lot better schedule. A lot has been going on but I know for certain that God will never leave us or forsake us. Sometimes, I wonder what I ever did before I started trusting in him. He never gives more than we can handle and through the battles in our lives, he always sends us a rainbow. So- please be patient with me as we adjust to all these changes and know that I will ALWAYS put the needs of the children in my care first.

CHANGES CHANGES CHANGES

Oh how i do not like changes! Especially so many in one week. First my aide resigned, than we begin moving into our new classroom, than I gained 3 new 3 year olds. It is a challenge to teach such a mixed age group and I am hoping that I can do it. I LOVE our new classroom!!! All the room- YEAH!!!!  Hopefully by Friday we will be in a routine and all will be back to normal- well close anyway!!
