crafts in the classroom

One of the things I love about Christmas is the amount of crafts we do this month. I can't show you pics. just yet but they are so cute!

Day 15 Light at night

Every night during the month of December, I turn on these candle lights in our window. Simple, yet pretty.

Day 14 Peace on earth

Ha- I didn't really have a picture describing peace- except for this one of my husband - Keeping the peace in town over the weekend.

Day 13 A Tradition

Many years ago when I had my own childcare center, the Stapleton Family gave me this sweet Nativity. I have cherished it for around at least 20 years. I always set it out in a special area- this is my tradition.

Day 12 Favorite CD this holiday season

I bought this CD just because I have duck hunters and honestly I was not expecting much. But I love it! Granted a few of the songs are silly but a few are beautiful. Reed's song about soldiers was by far my favorite.

Day 11 Something beautiful to me

I love this little Nativity scene! Tracer painted this when he was 3 and I put it out every December.

Day 10 Something Green

I know it's not my usual Circle E or Yankee Candle but this candle puts off a wonderful smell and the wax cubes in this scent smell even better!

Flu Flu Go away

So many of our little children school wide are so sick with the Flu and croup. Please pray that they get well soon and that no one else catches it.

Having the best time with these little ones! They will always bring a smile to your face. I am loving hearing them talk about their Elf on the Shelf and about the true meaning of Christmas.  Mrs. Hilary has been working soooo hard on getting a train together for the party. Tell her how much you appreciate her when you see her. All week she has had paint or glitter on her. She has even been working out in this cold weather. She didn't have to do this but she did it for all of the Pre k and K children. Thank You Mrs. Hilary.

So Proud

Our daughter made the Dean's List her 1st semester in College !   We are so proud of her. Way to go Taylor!

B U S Y time of year

Where does the time go? I can't believe that Christmas is almost here. It just seems like we are so very busy these days it is hard to fine time for everything. Tracer is in National Honor Society, a Junior Leader in 4-H, participates in Youth Rallys,  takes drum lessons and working on  Bible quizzes. Between meetings here and there, practices, projects to turn in, volunteer work, drum lessons and keeping his grades up it just gets a little crazy around the house sometimes. Don't get me wrong- I love that I am able to be a mom and do mom things but it can get stressful at times! And not just for me but for him as well. He had somewhere to be besides school for 6 days straight last week! Maybe after next week we can all be able to take the time to just enjoy this special season and hopefully you will do the same. Wishing you all a very Merry Christmas!

Such cute Christmas Tree Shaped snacks!

PLEASE NOTE

Parents:

The Polar Express Christmas Party is for the Pre K and K Children of OBCA only. While it would be so much fun to include other children and siblings, we have just not prepared for any extra children. We ask that this be the Pre K and K children's special time. We have a special guest arriving that night and "he" only has a special something to hand out to the Pre K and K children. Thanks so much for understanding . Mrs. Tammy and Mrs. Vicki

Prayers needed

Please pray for Jacob and his family. Nana passed away. She was so sweet and I am so glad I was able to meet her when Jacob's older brother was in my class a few years ago.  I just loved her and I know they all miss her so much.

Reindeer Cam

Seeing some familiar names on Santa's nice list! Let me know if your child made it on the list and I will publish it on our blog!

Day 4 of December- Something that brings me joy

I love this picture of my son when he was little. Those big eyes, curls, and angel wings make me smile every time I see this picture!
I also love seeing those smiles on the faces of the children and parents when we are making memories like yesterday at the Guardians of Christmas Play!
