Beginning of Summer Break!

I am so enjoying these first few days of vacation but I miss my little ones too!  Hope to make a T-Ball game soon and I will have the Grad. DVDs with me.    On a sadder note- Went to the funeral of Mr. Rick Richmond. Such a good man. Keep Mrs. Richmond and their family in your prayers.  On a happier note , my brother who moved to Austin, Texas in January,  came home for the long Memorial day weekend. Enjoyed visiting with him. This week will be filled with getting our home back in order.

These 8th and 9th graders came into my room to help rewind movies and clean up. Their only requirement - they wanted to watch Veggie Tales afterwards!!  OK- whatever gets my room cleaned!!!  Braden-Cole- Levi in case you couldn't tell who they are.

Happy Birthday Kelly Jo!!!!!

To my little one that loved Horses and Pink- Happy Birthday!  Being a girly -girl myself, I never would have thought that this was a combination that worked but Kelly Jo made me a believer!!!!  So, Happy Birthday my sweetheart - I love you!!!

The Graduation was beautiful. I didn't take any pictures because I didn't want to miss a thing! I think this years slide show was the best and several parents expressed that they thought so too! Everything just seemed to fall into place this year and boy was I thankful!  A special thank you to Kim May. A special Thank You to all the beautiful gifts and letters that were given to all of the teachers! I especially LOVED everything that was given to me! This group of parents have gone above and beyond what any teacher could hope for. Thanks for making this year a wonderful year and thanks to the PTO for the beautiful card and gift that you gave all of us. A special thanks to all of the people who cooked and watched our children while we were given the RARE opportunity to eat and visit in peace!!!! Ha!! I tried to take pictures of everything and show them on this post or the last couple of posts that were shown. LOVED Everthing but especially loved your letters. I will cherish them always!!!!!

Happy Mother's Day to me and all of you!!!!!

For this years Mother's Day I was so blessed to receive a Knock out rose, a gown, a card, some daylily plants, a dill plant, and Gerald made me a frame for my swing. I also found a really neat outdoor light fixture to hang outside at a flea market in Winnsboro. My husband thinks I am so weird and he is so blessed because I really do not want big, expensive things!!! Ha!! I would rather have a plant to put in my house or in my yard than a dozen of roses that fade and die in a few days. I know- they ARE beautiful and Gerald does still buy them for me for special days but ONLY if he buys me something I can plant or a special something that I collect! Ha!!! I also love Flea Market /Antique Finds and Tracer could not believe that I wanted -in his words- "That old light"!!! I think besides spending time with my mom and my family, one of my favorite things this Mother's Day was watching and taking pictures of the two big gators that are in the pond in the middle of a field not far past my parent's home. I just think they are so fascinating!!!! Bet you didn't know that about your child's teacher!!!!!!

Muffins with Mom and Donuts with Dad Day!

The parents and the children really seemed to enjoy this special day!  The children planted a special flower for their mom and gave her a poem. They had made the cutest pinch pots for their dad and they painted the cutest "Chip off the old block" for their dad. It also had their picture on it! Mr. Billy Ray made the best homemade donuts for the group!
