SPECIAL DAYS TO MARK ON YOUR CALENDAR

September:
Tuesday: Sept. 20th  RED DAY  Children are to wear as much red as they can.
Monday: Sept. 26th Johnny Appleseed Day- Children are to dress like Johnny Appleseed-old overalls or jeans, patches on clothes, old stick with a fabric sack, etc.. Look for pictures of Johnny Appleseed on the internet.

OCTOBER:
Friday, October 7th     National Pizza Day. We will have Pizza from Johnny's. 

Monday, October 10th    Fire Safety Week- *To be announced

Tuesday, October 11th    We will be going to the First United Methodist Church  for Pumpkin Patch Fun!!! The cost is only $1.00 per student for the Pumpkin Patch which includes a Hay maze, Storytime, sticker decorating on a pumpkin, games, and more.
They will be served popcorn and "pumpkin Juice". (orange juice)
We will also be having a sack lunch at a park afterwards* cost for this will be in future newsletter.  We will leave our school around 8:30.
*This day will also be ORANGE DAY. Children are to wear orange on this day.

Monday, October 24th  50's Day!! We will be celebrating 50 days of going to school with a 50's theme day. The children will hula hoop, be served coke floats, and more. They are to dress as fifties as they can! Poodle Skirts, cat eye glasses, for girls and boys blue jeans and t-shirts with slicked back hair!! Do not think you have to purchase special items- be on the lookout for great deals in the costume department at Wal-mart or use grandma's stuff! This is a very fun day!!!!!
